The Sony PDW-HR1 XDCAM Professional Disc Recorder, the latest addition to the XDCAM family, is a highly mobile field recorder that supports all the XDCAM formats as standard, including the frame rate of 23.98P in 1080i mode and SD (DVCAM and MPEG IMX). Also new concept GUI for EDL-based editing and direct DVB-ASI output provides the field operator more flexible workflow. Its compact, lightweight body makes the PDW-HR1 ideal for use in the field as a pool-feed recorder, backup recorder, installed in an extremely confined space such as a car or helicopter and simple field editor by itself.
